FOSTERING GROWTH
Simone Lincoln
I have been working as a therapist with children and families for over twenty years across a range of Social Care, Health and Educational settings. For ten years I have specialised in working within fostering and adoption, both as a training facilitator and therapist within the state and private sector.

I am a Systemic Family Therapy Practitioner and a Music Therapist and I am additionally trained in NVR (Non violent Resistance) and Theraplay. I work collaboratively with other therapists as appropriate for the needs of the client or organisation.

My wealth of experience of direct work with children and families has enabled me to develop training courses that address the day-to-day challenges that foster carers and adopters face in their everyday care of young people.
Having worked with many families in crisis I became interested in finding an approach that would help families to find peaceful ways of resolving conflict which led me to co-develop the NVR (Non Violent Resistance) Group Programme. We have been offering this course to foster carers for many years with some outstanding outcomes regarding placement stability.

As a creative therapist I always ensure that my courses are a good balance of theory and evidence practice alongside practical and creative ideas to help carers and adopters engage young people.
